Welcome to Witsand Poshpackers! Whether you're a backpacker exploring the Garden Route, a kitesurfer, cyclist, or biker, this is the place for you. Our accommodation is a cut above the normal backpackers standards: all our rooms (including the dorm) are en suite, the kitchen appliances, cutlery & crockery, pots & pans, bedding and everything else is just of a much better standard than you'd expect to find at a backpackers hostel. And it's all kept spotlessly clean by our fantastic staff. But it's at normal backpackers rates! We give you probably the best value for money in South Africa.
Witsand is the official start / finish point of the Garden Route, and no tour of this most excellent of regions is complete without a visit to the town. Click on the Activities link to see what Witsand has to offer. There's plenty to do here, lots of fun to be had, and memories to be made that will last a lifetime.
A range of accommodation types are on offer, including a self-contained cottage and twin rooms, as well as a mixed dorm with a communal kitchen, lounge and barbeque/chillout area. Wifi is on the house, as well as TV. There is a dip tank in our large garden for kite surfers to rinse their kites and gear. This all happens in Witsand's secure, peaceful environment.
We don't have a liquor license and you're welcome to bring your own. There are no "no own alcohol allowed" rules here and no high bar prices. So you can party for less!
